    Lares Trek Machu Picchu 4 days – Unlike the popular treks in Cusco, the trek or trekl through the Lares Valley takes you to truly know remote places, a destination still unknown to many, a journey to the very heart of the Andes where few tourists have ventured. This wonderful trail takes you to see beautiful natural landscapes adorned with impressive glaciers. A world totally different from ours, an Andean paradise where the inhabitants of small villages still employ ancient ways of life. This wonderful trip also takes you to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, chosen as one of the 7 wonders of our planet.

    DAY 1: CUSCO – LARES – WACAWASI

    Very early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in our transport to travel through the Sacred Valley to the province of Calca and from here we will take two and a half hours to reach the district of Lares, a special place to enjoy the thermal baths of Lares and spend the whole morning in these baths that at the same time are medicinal, after that we will begin our route walking for an average of 2 hours and 30 minutes to the place to camp called Wacawasi, fraternizing with the villagers.

    DAY 2: WACAWASI – IPSAYCOCHA LAGOON

    After breakfast we will continue the trek to the highest part of the valley and we will see how the local people produce some of the best weavings in Peru. Here we will observe the great skills and brilliant techniques used in the manufacture of ponchos and garments. Passing the village we start the climb to the Condor pass, second place on the trip which is at 4100 m.a.s.l. Lunch time, after the pass, we will catch up with the impressive view of the Nevado Veronica which is at 5750 m.a.s.l. We will descend gently for an average of one hour, arriving at the beautiful Ipsaycocha lagoon, where it will be our last place to camp.

    DAY 3: IPSAYCOCHA LAGOON – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES

    Descend into the valley and eventually we will arrive to the community of Huiylloc where we will have lunch, from here we will take two hours trekking to reach Pumamarka and enjoy the Inca terraces, finally we will arrive to Ollantaytambo. Located in a fertile valley with rivers and covered by immense mountains, this ancient Inca village is considered one of the most important living museums in the world. It is the perfect place to appreciate the vast archaeological remains and the immense variety of flowers and birds. We will take you to the train to take the Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes route, where you will spend the night in the hotel of your choice.

    DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO

    Very early in the morning after breakfast we will take the transportation to the city of Machu Picchu where we will start the tour in the city for an average of an hour and a half. Then we will climb the Huayna Picchu mountain (You have to sign in to advance) and visit the different sites recommended by our guide, such as Inti Punku (sun gate) and the Inca bridge. Finally we will return by train to the town of Ollantaytambo, and then we will take the transport that will take you to the city of Cusco
