Machu Picchu Tour From Cusco. This 1 day tour to Machu Picchu is excellent for those visitors who wish to visit Machu Picchu for only one day. 05:30 am Our visit of Machu Picchu begins with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco, and then take you to the station Poroy (30 min bus ride).
06:40 am We will board our train to Aguas Calientes, during the way we can appreciate the beautiful landscapes, mountain ranges and the excellent nature that awaits us. (Travel time by train 3 hours approx.)
Once we arrive to Aguas Calientes, our staff will be waiting for you at the train station, and then we will go to the exit of the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
At an agreed time with the guide we will start the guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu, our guided tour will be by the main parts of Machu Picchu, then you will have some free time to take pictures and explore the citadel. (You choose the time to return to Aguas Calientes).
You will board the bus back to Aguas Calientes, here you will have free time for lunch.
06:20 pm At the established time you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo. Here we will be waiting for you to travel back to Cusco. (End of the Plaza de Regocijo or San Francisco).
Time in the citadel
The time available to visit the citadel of Machu Picchu is 4 hours in total. These should be divided into 2 hours of guided tour, and the rest, visiting the citadel freely.
How far in advance should I book the tour?
We receive reservations at least 48 hours in advance. However, spaces are limited and are always subject to availability. Tickets for the Machu Picchu citadel are in high demand and in some cases are sold out months in advance. For this reason, we recommend that you make your reservation as far in advance as possible.
How long does the visit to Machu Picchu last?
The tour lasts three hours. In the first hour you will have a guided tour of the citadel. Then, you will have the rest of the time to walk freely around the citadel.
